Most AI girlfriend platforms start with a chat box. Xeve AI makes the video window the main event. During my test, I could see the character on screen while we interacted, and the experience felt closer to a live call than a standard text conversation. I could choose between a human-style character and an AI-generated one, then use the available actions to guide what happened in the video.
That live presence is Xeve’s strongest point. The other surprise was the language support: I could switch the platform and conversation experience into French, which made setup and everyday use much more comfortable. Add custom character creation, unlimited chat and video access on membership, and image/video generation funded with separate credits, and Xeve feels quite different from a text-first companion app. 😊

What Is Xeve AI?
Xeve AI combines several things that are often split across different platforms: text chat, character browsing, live AI video chat, custom character creation and separate image/video generation. The experience revolves around choosing a character and deciding whether you want to talk, start a live video session, or create media.
It is an adult-oriented companion service, but the key distinction is the interaction format. Xeve is not simply a chatbot with a profile picture. During live chat, the character remains visible and can answer through speech and on-screen reactions. The platform also lets you pick a human-style or AI-generated character when you create a custom companion.
My Xeve AI Test: A Girlfriend AI You Can See on Screen
The video window is what makes the session feel different. I could see the character while we talked, then choose from the available actions to prompt a response. Instead of reading a reply and imagining how the character might react, I could watch an action play out on screen. That extra visual feedback gave the conversation a more present, face-to-face feel.
The actions are a curated set rather than an unlimited live camera performance. You choose what is available for that character and membership level, and the platform responds with an action that fits the request. In my test, that simple loop—message, choose an action, see the character respond—was the most memorable part of Xeve.
What “live” means on Xeve AI
There is an important technical nuance behind the word “live.” Xeve’s documentation describes a session where the AI responds to the user, while its explanation of the video system says the motion segments are produced in advance and selected in response to the conversation; speech and lip sync are assembled for the session. So it feels interactive and changes with your exchange, but it is not a human performer on a live webcam. It is also not just one video loop playing from start to finish.
That distinction does not take away from the experience I tested. It helps set the right expectation: think of Xeve as an AI-driven video interaction built from a library of character actions, not an actual person responding through a camera. The visible character and action controls still make the format more immersive than text-only chat.
SEE THE CHARACTER REACTTry a video interaction, not just another chat screen.Xeve keeps the character visible and lets you guide the exchange with chat and available actions.Start with Luna ↗Choose a Human or AI-Generated character
The character creator starts by asking whether you want a Human or AI-Generated character. From there, the setup lets you tailor the look and persona through a guided sequence rather than making you write everything from scratch. You can build your own companion, pick traits and set the relationship style, then use that character in the broader Xeve experience.
The labels refer to character styles inside the platform. They do not mean you are connecting to a real woman over webcam. The platform’s own documentation says the conversation is AI-generated, and its live video system uses prepared motion segments selected and synced as the exchange unfolds.
French support makes a noticeable difference
I was happy to find a French-language option in the settings. Switching the interface made navigation easier, and being able to write in French made the interaction feel less like work. This is a practical advantage for francophone users, especially when the platform’s main appeal is a back-and-forth conversation rather than one-off media generation.
Xeve is browser-first, so you can use it on desktop or mobile without installing a dedicated app. That is convenient if you want to open it in a browser, although people who prefer a native iOS or Android app should know that the official FAQ currently describes Xeve as a browser-based service.
Xeve AI Pricing: Memberships and Credit Packs
Xeve separates membership access from generation credits. In my test, all three membership lengths offered the same main access: unlimited chat, unlimited live video chat and 60 credits per month for image or generated-video creation. You pay less per month when you commit for longer, but the total is charged for the selected term.
| Membership | Price shown in our test | Billing commitment | Included access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $12.99/month | One month at a time | Unlimited chat and live video chat + 60 generation credits per month |
| Quarterly | $8.99/month equivalent | Three months | Same access and monthly credit allowance |
| Annual | $6.99/month equivalent | Twelve months | Same access and monthly credit allowance |
| Lifetime offer | €129 one-time shown in checkout | One-time payment | Lifetime access as defined in the terms; generation credits still renew in monthly periods |
The annual checkout screenshot showed €85.04 per year, which is close to the $6.99 monthly equivalent once localized. The exact currency and amount can vary by region, promotion and checkout route, so use the total displayed before payment as the final price. The €129 lifetime access offer appeared separately as a one-time payment; “lifetime” means for as long as Xeve operates, according to the terms.
Membership credits are for generated media, not for the live video chat itself. Current Xeve documentation lists 5 credits for an image and 20 credits for a generated video; longer videos or selected settings can cost more. That means the 60 included credits work out to about 12 standard images or 3 standard videos—not unlimited generated media.
| Credit pack | Price in the offer you shared | Approx. images at 5 credits each | Approx. videos at 20 credits each |
|---|---|---|---|
| 70 credits | $4.99 | 14 | 3 |
| 200 credits | $9.99 | 40 | 10 |
| 500 credits | $22.99 | 100 | 25 |
| 1,000 credits | $39.99 | 200 | 50 |
| 5,000 credits | $179.99 | 1,000 | 250 |
Those output counts are estimates based on the current standard costs, before any higher-duration video pricing. One correction to the initial pack notes: 70 credits do not cover 35 generated videos at the current 20-credit rate; the estimate is about three. The image estimates in your notes match the 5-credit image rate. Credit packs are one-time purchases, but the terms say purchased credits expire one year after purchase and are non-refundable, so check your balance and expiry before buying a large bundle.

At the time of our check, Xeve’s Trustpilot page showed a 4.3/5 rating from 12 reviews. Positive reviewers mention an easy-to-use interface, smooth sessions and the unusual appeal of being able to interact with a character on video. One reviewer liked the video experience and price but noted that the AI itself could be better. That is a fair summary of the trade-off: the format is distinctive, while the conversation and character response still come from AI.
Twelve reviews are too few to treat the score as a reliable measure of every user’s experience. I would read the comments as a small set of individual impressions, not a representative survey. Still, the recurring praise for ease of use and video interaction matches what I found during my test.
Xeve AI Pros and Cons

- Live video chat makes the character feel present during the conversation.
- Actions and visible reactions create more immersion than text alone.
- Choose between Human and AI-Generated character styles.
- French interface and conversation support.
- Build a custom character through a guided creator.
- Unlimited chat and live video chat are included in the membership I tested.

- Works in a mobile browser without installing an app.
⚠️ What to keep in mind
- “Live” means AI-directed interaction with prepared motion segments, not a real human webcam performer.
- Generated images and videos consume credits; video costs more and can vary by settings.
- Credit packs are separate from the membership and expire after one year under current terms.
- Annual and quarterly plans require a longer commitment and renew automatically when recurring.
- The checkout can show localized prices that differ from the listed US equivalent.
- There is no separate native mobile app according to the official FAQ.
- Review the media and privacy terms before sharing personal information; user uploads are not accepted in the current terms.
Privacy, Credits and Billing: What to Check Before Joining
Two details are easy to miss when the video feature is the focus. First, Xeve’s terms say generated media may be shown in public areas after individual review, and that generated videos remain the company’s property to the extent stated in the terms. The terms also say users can request removal of published media, although that cannot retrieve copies already saved by other visitors. Read the current media terms before generating anything you would consider private.
Second, a membership paid by card renews automatically unless cancelled; unused subscription time is generally not refunded. Separately purchased credits are non-refundable and expire after one year. Xeve’s current terms say the platform does not accept user photo or video uploads, and that generated media is created from its characters, reference material and in-product options. If you are considering a custom character or identity-based feature, check the live rules first.
Is Xeve AI Worth It?
If you want an AI girlfriend experience that feels visual and interactive, Xeve AI is one of the more distinctive options I have tested. The character stays on screen, the action controls give you something to do beyond typing, and French support makes the product unusually accessible for francophone users. The value is especially appealing if you use live chat often; unlimited access makes the recurring plan easier to justify than a credits-only video generator.
Xeve is less suited to someone who wants only text roleplay, deep long-term memory, or a real person on a webcam. Generated media also has its own credit budget, and the plan page, checkout currency and credit costs deserve a careful look before paying. For me, though, the live video format is not a gimmick: it is the feature that gives Xeve a reason to exist alongside the many text-first girlfriend apps.
